"Paris Hilton was pelted with lipsticks and cigarette packets when she appeared at an Austrian shopping mall yesterday. The 25-year-old hotel heiress was greeted by hundreds of screaming fans when she made the appearance in Vienna, but the event was soured when less than impressed shoppers hurled objects at the stage.Paris shouted, ‘Hello everybody, it’s so good to see you. Happy late Valentine’s Day!’, before being whisked away by security guards.She later described the incident as ‘no big deal’ and said she loved her fans.The ‘Simple Life’ star was in Vienna to attend the prestigious annual Opera Ball last night (15.02.07) with Austrian businessman Richard Lugner.Previous guests invited by Lugner include Pamela Anderson, Carmen Electra and Geri Halliwell.Earlier in the week, Paris suffered another setback when she was refused to entry to Austria because her passport had expired.Paris had to wait in Munich, Germany, until the US ambassador to Austria could vouch for her.When asked what happened, Paris replied: ‘Oh nothing, just my passport.’ Paris’ next stop will be the skiing party resort of Ischgl.(SOURCE PR INSIDE)

Cameron Diaz joined hip-hop producer Pharrell and former US vice president Al Gore to announce the launch of Live Earth - a concert aimed at raising global warming awareness - yesterday. The 24-hour concert - part of Save Our Selves - The Campaign for a Climate in Crisis - will take place in seven continents on July 7 and feature over 100 music acts, including Pharrell, John Legend, Black Eyed Peas, Fall Out Boy and Kelly Clarkson.Cameron said: ‘This is the only issue in the history of mankind that affects every single one of us - our planet is in danger.‘But at least someone is doing something about it.’ Live Earth concerts will take place in China, South Africa, Australia, Britain, Japan, Brazil and the US.Pharrell said: ‘Our atmosphere, our planet, is being abused, and we need to make this part of our daily consciousness.

Oscar winner Jamie Foxx is being sued by a fashion stylist for allegedly stiffing her on her salary.In a lawsuit filed Wednesday in Los Angeles Superior Court, celebrity fashion stylist Stacy Young claims Foxx and Foxxhole Records failed to pay her for styling services rendered in 2006. Young says she was hired to work with Foxx for the BET Awards at a rate of $2,850 a day, as well as for "Miami Vice" press junkets at a rate of $3000 a day. In the lawsuit, Young is asking for relief from the courts, but doesn't say the exact amount she is owed. Young claims she incurred "thousands of dollars in costs in connection with the services rendered," adding that she "turned down other employment offers" to work for Foxx. We ain't sayin' she's a golddigger!A rep for Foxx could not be reached at press time.(TMZ)

E! Online reports that Fantasia Barrino may be the latest "American Idol" veteran to find work on Broadway. Barrino may be joining the cast of The Color Purple in the spring. She would play Celie, the role originated by Tony Award-winner LaChanze and now played by Jeannette Bayardelle. A four-time Grammy Award-nominee, Barrino won the third season of "American Idol." She is believed to have been a frontrunner for the role of Effie in the Dreamgirls film (the part ultimately went to fellow "American Idol" star Jennifer Hudson"). "Fantasia" is the 22 year-old’s debut album.

SHE had some mighty Fiennes sex. So says flight attendant Lisa Robertson, who's tell ing friends that, despite her earlier denials, she did indeed have an unprotected quickie with Ralph Fiennes in the bath room of an India-bound Qantas jet. Not only that, but the 38-year-old fly-girl also claims they went on to enjoy a night of passion in a Mumbai hotel at Fiennes' in vitation, according to London's Daily Mail. "I've always fancied him," she re portedly told pals. "I just stood up, reached down for his hand and told him to follow me." Fiennes was in India to preach safe sex. The newspaper says Fiennes and Robertson, a former cop, practiced safe sex the second time they hooked up. When she was first confronted by Qantas brass, Rob ertson denied having sex with Fiennes, al though she claimed he followed her into the bathroom and tried to behave "inappropri ately." And Ivanka Trump was spotted Valentine's night at the romantic River Café in Brooklyn with Diego Garcia, the handsome Argentine lead singer of the band Elefant, near the table where Mary- Kate Olsen was billing and cooing with oil heir Maxwell Snow. Ryan Phillippe’s daughter helped him through his divorce.
The actor says his seven-year-old daughter, Ava, helped him cope with the breakdown of his marriage to Oscar-winner Reese Witherspoon.Ryan told People magazine: ‘I know it sounds pathetic - I’m a 32-year-old guy but my seven-year-old daughter is getting me through the toughest time in my life, and that’s beautiful.’ Ryan revealed the couple’s three-year-old son Deacon has also helped to cheer him up.He said: ‘He’s fun, every day he says something that makes me laugh, warms my heart. It ain’t easy. The controversial singer - who infuriated Christian church leaders by performing while hung from a cross wearing a crown of thorns during her ‘Confessions’ world tour - wants to be worshipped as a spiritual leader.Madonna said in an interview with America’s Sirius Satellite radio: ‘For me we all need to be Jesus in our time.‘Jesus’ message was to love your neighbour as yourself, and there are people in need. Jim Carrey hasn't even come close to Tom Cruise. Though it's been slim pickings after Britney and Paris. But I think #23 will open some people's eyes to Jim's acting talents. He's better at serious acting than comedy, i think.
