Syndicated radio host Don Imus was fired Thursday by CBS Radio for insulting comments he made on his show about the Rutgers University's women's basketball team.
"From the outset, I believe all of us have been deeply upset and revulsed by the statements that were made on our air about the young women who represented Rutgers University in the NCAA Women's Basketball Championship with such class, energy and talent," CBS President and Chief Executive Officer Leslie Moonves said in a statement. Singer James Blunt won't be charged with hit and run for an incident in which he allegedly ran over a photographer's foot outside a pre-Oscar party in February, according to the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office.
"Based on the information we have been given so far, we have decided not to file [charges]," Frank Mateljan, a spokesman for the L.A. City Attorney tells PEOPLE. "We reserve the right to file charges at any time. But at this time we have no plans to file anything."

"AMERICAN Pie" star Sean William Scott is very comfortable with his sexuality - so much so that when another paper claimed Scott had shown up with David Geffen at "Heat," a nonexistent L.A. gay bar, he didn't even bother to correct them. Scott showed up at Upper East Side eatery Phillipe the other night with his longtime girlfriend, Victoria's Secret model Deanna Miller, and enjoyed a two-hour dinner while engaging in some major public displays of affection. Penelope Cruz wants to have kids of her own – but she also hopes to adopt.
"Of course I want to have kids," Cruz, 32, tells the Spanish edition of Marie Claire in its April issue. "I want to have my own kids, but also adopt. For a while I've had the feeling that my life won't be complete if I don't adopt."

‘Perfect Stranger’ actress, HALLE BERRY who is dating 31-year-old model Gabriel Aubry, is aware her biological clock is ticking and is determined to conceive in 2007.
Halle, 40, said: ‘Having children is my next big project. I’m planning on becoming pregnant by the end of the year � it’s my age, it’s only natural.’ The Oscar-winning star insists she and Gabriel are prepared to adopt if their baby-making attempts don’t work.
She added: ‘If it can’t happen naturally, Gabriel and I will adopt.’ Halle has made no secret of her desire to have a baby in the past, and had vowed to get pregnant before she turned 40 lastAugust.
