Britney Spears has become addicted to buying wigs, it has been reported. The troubled star has allegedly traded her party addiction for shopping - spending more than $60,000 on wigs, vintage hats, clothes, lingerie, perfume and jewellery in less than a month. A source close to the ‘Toxic’ singer said Britney "has turned into a shopaholic". Addiction expert Dr. Robert Butterworth told US In Touch Weekly magazine: "People with addictions often go from one compulsive behaviour to another." Mother-of-two Britney, 25, shaved off all her hair before entering Malibu’s Promises rehab centre. The star was reportedly treated for a range of problems, including post-natal depression, following months of hard partying and drunken behaviour. While Britney was initially happy to display her shaved head, she soon opted to wear a variety of wigs. Addiction specialist Clare Waismann said: "She’s acting like a child. This is not normal behaviour. Her whole demeanour is strange. She’s not doing well." The star who is hoping to revive her pop career is believed to have sacked manager Larry Randolph for a second time. Britney blames Larry for contributing to her recent downfall, including introducing her to party-girl Paris Hilton, it was reported yesterday(SOURCE PR INSIDE)

IN a bizarre interview with Allure, Lindsay Lohan says she takes on the role of protector to her friends and family. "When my friends and family are around me I feel like they're safe . . . When my friends have left me - I've just seen everything collapse. They're not safe without me," the starlet eerily told the magazine. Lohan also discussed her quick stint in rehab, explaining that she doesn't plan to stop going out to clubs and partying and declaring, "That's my life!" She also compared herself to Marilyn Monroe and claimed to be shocked she ended up needing treatment: "It's so weird that I went to rehab. I always said I would die before I went to rehab." After clearly stating her plans to continue club-hopping and to keep her friends close for their protection, the conflicted party girl adds, "Everybody's tired of hearing things about me and them . . . I think it's just better for me to lie low and get better." WHILE Lourdes Ciccone Leon was in Malawi with her mom, Madonna, her dad, Carlos Leon, was par tying downtown. The pop icon's former fling was spotted leaving the Bowery Hotel with model Kat Forseca, 21, the main subject of Sante D'Orazio's risqué photography book, "Katlick School." KRISTIN Cavallari, the "Laguna Beach" reality "star" - we use the word loosely - has come up with a new way to make some money. Like Paris Hilton, she's charging club owners for personal appearances that might produce publicity for their venues in celebrity-obsessed weekly magazines. She was clever enough to spark a bidding war between Tao Las Vegas and Pure Las Vegas for the rights to hold her 21st birthday event - and bids are already up to $100,000. Cavallari has also mastered a method originated by Jessica Simpson and her father, Joe. She has a friend who fronts as a "personal photographer" and gets the "big photos" of her making out with pal Nick Zano. She then sells the images to the tabs, who give her a percentage. The practice "infuriates event organizers who pay her to attend their events because they only get C-rate photos for their use," a spy said. Cavallari's rep said, "We have some nice offers from different venues to hold Kristin's birthday party, and she has not yet chosen one . . . In this time of stalkerazzi who invade her privacy, Kristin, like many other celebs, has found a way to try to counter and control these uncomfortable situations and work with photographers they know and trust."(SOURCE NY POST)

Wrestler and reality star Hulk Hogan swears there’s nothing fake about the strength of his marriage. Denying reports that he and his wife, Linda, are talking divorce, Hulk tells, “I’m happily married, and everything is cool.”
The Hulkster's remarks come after the New York Post reported the Hogans’ marriage has taken a beating after 20 years, with the pair fighting over child-rearing issues and feeling the strain of filming a reality show, VH1’s Meet the Hogans. (SOURCE US MAGAZINE)

Eva Longoria has vowed to help Jesse Metcalfe "100 per cent" when he leaves rehab. The sexy actress - who enjoyed an on-screen romance with Jesse’s character in hit US TV show ‘Desperate Housewives’ - has pledged to support her young co-star who is being treated for alcoholism at Malibu’s Promises centre. Eva told Britain’s Heat magazine: "Jesse is very sensible and I think that’s why he’s in rehab because he’s generally a very put-together, steady guy and he’s going to take care of it and help himself. And I’m going to help him 100 per cent." Eva, 32, also raved about her new friends David and Victoria Beckham, who are set to move to Los Angeles this summer. She said: "They’re so iconic and so famous, and so beautiful and everything about them is fascinating for people. I adore them! I think they’re wonderful, wonderful people." The brunette said she "feels really bad" for soccer star David and Victoria, because they are going to have a "hard time" being followed by paparazzi in Los Angeles.(SOURCE PR INSIDE)
